In what? And how far did you say it was?

We asked the exact same questions when we first heard about the race. But the answers are actually really simple:

- In an auto rickshaw, which is in no way built for traveling these distances. It also has a fairly modest top speed, and is prone to breaking down.
- About 3500 kilometers or so in 14 days, which we figure should be a breeze in the aforementioned vehicle.

The truth is that no matter how fast the rickshaw looks in the picture above, and no matter how nice the rickshaws in the pictures below look, we will surely learn to hate this sorry excuse for a 3 wheeler in no time.

Then we have the small issue of how far we have to travel. There is some part of you that realizes that 3500km sounds like an awful lot in such a short period of time. However, when you plot the cities you plan to visit on a map it hits you. It’s a shitload of what you figure to be dirt roads to actually drive on. A small mathematical exercise also gives you about 7 hours of driving every day, not counting the hours you are bound to lose due to problems with your chosen mode of transportation. We invite you to share the experience with us by providing our proposed route below. As you may know, we start in Kochi on the 28th of March and hope to reach the finish line in Gangtok on the 10th of April.
